Spring Break Out photos and more...
Posted on Mon Mar 24 2008 Spring Break Out week is March 21-29, 2008. Virtually every day a group of missioners from HRBC will be serving our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and Ends of the Earth! Check in here for updates of our experiences and to see pictures along the way.
Friday, March 21
Reams Road Breakfast
Our mentors who spend time with students at Reams Road Elementary School weekly provided breakfast for the faculty and staff at Reams on Good Friday for their teacher work day. Wonderful breakfast foods and quality fellowship were enjoyed by all! Click here to see the pictures.
Monday, March 24
Morningside Assisted Living
A lovely group of HRBC ladies joined our normal Monday morning Bible study at the Gardens at Morningside. These beautiful girls wore their prom dresses and provided a lively fashion show for the residents. After singing silly songs, reciting Scripture, and offering prayers together, our Monday morning Bible study helpers introduced our girls to the Morningside residents. The experience blessed all who were present! Click here to see the pictures.
Tuesday
Safe Haven
On Tuesday, HRBC missioners prepared food for Safe Haven in the afternoon and delivered dinner and fun in the evening to the residents at Safe Haven. Residents enjoyed a delicious meal followed by BINGO! Click here to see the pictures.
Wednesday
Poverty Simulation Dinner
On Wednesday, we had the privilege of hosting our friends, Joanie and Jason, from our Hyaets partnership in Charlotte. In a playful exercise, our eyes were opened to the reality of poverty in our world. Some participants got sent to jail, some were left hungry, and some tried to cheat the system! All were left making difficult decisions with the resources at hand. Jason referenced a sermon about his experiences that you can find by clicking here. All week
Visitation
Two separate groups spread out across the area on Monday and Wednesday to visit those HRBC friends who are unable to attend for one reason or another. While they shared a ray of sunshine with these individuals, they also received a blessing by visiting! Click here to see the pictures of all our visits.
